REVIEW #5 | THE DUCHESS VIRGIN GIN & TONIC

Currently, we like to think of ourselves as the highest of highest Gin + Tonic connoisseurs. Yes, we have gone out of our way to learn, taste, + consume enough of these said ingredients to be a little obnoxious of our knowledge. Only Fitch + Leeds Indian Tonic for these thirsty savages! But to narrow it down, we darn well love a tasty, QUALITY G & T after a long day.

The speakings of The Duchess came to us through the book of faces + we were instantly hooked. From their glorious advertising, magnificent packaging + the fact that the product is sugar free + non-alcoholic, it was a no-brainer to give it a try. As quoted from their site, "The Duchess was created for the conscious consumer - the healthy, successful and discerning individual. Whether at a business lunch or being the designated driver, for personal or religious reasons, The Duchess offers you the choice of a sugar-free , hangover-free refreshment." Spot on!

We found the 4 pack at a local boutique bottle store (however they have expanded their availability even to select Pick n Pay Liquor stores. Check their site for stockists ) + took them along with us on our road-trip to Kruger. They are beautifully aromatic + superbly refreshing just like a quality Gin, without even a hint of being non-alcoholic. And one feels awfully fancy with the elegant bottle. Enough to make you want to lift a pinkie.

TIPS

We experimented adding a more subtle Gin to ensure we didn't take away from the botanicals and even though it added for something interesting, we feel the product is perfect on it's own, just the way it is.
